Network Drive Disconnect – Again

by retro77 . Updated 18 years, 10 months ago

Ok, got a weird one for you this time:

I have several mapped drives to several file servers. Every night [just started last week before I released WSUS patches to the workstations], only one of them disconnects. Not the little red X but just totally disappears. Its the same drive every night on several computers. Logging off and then back on again fixes the problem [runs login script in GPO and remaps the drive].

I already have the registry entries for the HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\KeepAliveInterval 0x00001000 and KeepAliveTime 0x00300000

Also the net config server show this on both the server and the workstation:
Idle session time (min) -1

No errors or events in the event viewer on either side.

Any new ideas on this weird subject?

Environment-
Server: Windows 2003 SP2 [latest patches]
Workstations: Windows XP SP2 [latest patches]
