network driver at login scripts

By duncanlancaster ·
Hi, help please.

i'm trying to set up a login script to map a network drive. User account is part of Domain Controller running on Win NT. I'm using the script below but when logging on it doesn't like the first line about deleting the current I

net use I: delete
net use I: \\prem-ins\Apps

have used the pause function so see what it says and it shows
system error 67 has occured
the network name connot be found.

should I be using someother command instead on delete

Your syntax is wrong. The first line should read:

net use I: /delete

You could alternatively use:

net use * /delete

(you may need to add a "/y" switch at the end depending on what operating systems you are using)

This will delete ALL prior drive mappings. Either one should solve your problem. Hope this helps!

Since this is NT 4 try this
NET USE I: /d /y
NET USE I: "\\prem-ins\apps"
It might be because of the - in the server name if this doesn't work substitute the IP address of the prem-ins server for the name.
