I just want to throw this out here and see if anyone has any suggestions. My company has several locations across the world, our location in NY is constantly having problems losing their network connectivity. The curveball to this problem is that they are not really losing connectivity. They will recieve a message in the bottom right corner of their screen that says network connection lost, however, they still get an IP, the switchport does not ever drop, and they can still get out to the web. The problem that they are having is with their share drives (which are located on a local server maybe 1 or 2 hops away). Once the user reboots, their drives return, but will get lost again..maybe more that day maybe not until the next day.
Has anyone seen this type of activity before or have any suggestions on what could cause this.
