You may have to call your provider

by LarryD4 In reply to Network help plz

In one case where my Dad switched out to a new cable/DSL router, it would not pick up a new ip off of the providers network. Even though we rebooted the actual modem a few times.

The company had to go in to the modem and clear out the mini DHCP between the modem and the new cable/dsl router.

OK what you should do here is

by OH Smeg In reply to Network help plz

First setup the ADSL Modem make sure it is working correctly and then plug the CAT5 Patch Lead from the Modem to the WAN port in the back of the Router. Plug a CAT5 Cable from your Computer only to the Router and go through the Routers Setup Procedure by opening a Web Browser and entering the HTTP address of the Router and then when you get to the Start Page of the Routers Setup Screen the User Name & Password to access the Router.

If you have not updated the Firmware for this device now would be the time to do this. The newest version is available here

Then follow the prompts and setup as required. If you no longer have the Users Manual to tell you how to configure this device it is available here for download
