network hickup’s

after disabling netbios, for security purposes, on all the pc’s i have trouble with finding computers in my network places and must search each time. i also would like to not have to enter a password each time i try to access a pc. all machines are win 2k and and one machine is the dhcp with internet connection sharing. thanks
