Network Label Printing

By TheTred ·
I am looking for a solution to printing single address labels in a network environment. Is there a simple "label printer" that is network capable? I want to use this in a domain system that would allow the printer to be accessable to all users (approximately 50). I am using W2k and planning on removing all of our desktop machines in favor of terminals.

Thanks for any help, input or insights.

Seiko has a line of serial/usb label printers that may be what you need. Check their wesite at link below.

I am in the copier/printer industry and we often supply print servers to allow network printing. They can connect via the usb or parallel port to pretty much any setup. It will cost around ?50. We use Axis or Dlink.

The printserver then has an IP address set in it. Depends on the server but you normally then set up a tcp/ip port to print over network.

Hope this helps

James
