We are in the process of defining network performance SLAs for our IP only global frame relay network. We track latency through our network management system on a monthly basis. We now need to define the SLAs. The question I have is what level oflatency is considered “good”, “ok” or “bad”. I realize that this is only one component of overall network performance but it is one which we can easily measure. We have tried to get recommended network performance numbers from our application providers but haven’t gotten much help. I thought I would give this a try.
