Network linux and Windows

Good day,

My last task in my operating system platform class is to network a linux machine and a windows machine. Can anyone please guide me through this?

I guess you weren't paying attention the day they covered that in class huh? Perhaps you should contact the instructor and ask for some help. I'm sure they'll be glad to go over it again.

what, should we do your homework and take your tests too?

Ok, a few pointers though.

Linux does not 'join' a Windows domain.
On a Linux machine, read up on 'Samba' to talk to Windows machines.

Read up about your OS to figure out how to print to a network printer, then read up on adding a printer attached to a Windows machine.

Last tip -- Ptactice copying data to shares on the Win machine over the network, and vice versa.
