Network Monitoring and Notification

By Todd R ·
We are currently looking for a network monitoring / notification solution (since we currently have none). We are less than 100 users, less than 25 servers and less than 10 locations.

We do have a budget of $2000 maximum. Any suggestions?

Try WhatsUpGold from Ipswitch. You can test out the demo at their site:

I don't have the link but try Monitor Magic.

Best bang for your buck at 2K IMO.

You can look to a opensource solution also. I use MON. I run it on a RedHat clone that is on an old pIII 450 mhz, 128 MB ram. I am currently evaluating Nagios for a possible migration of these duties.

MON:

WBEL (RedHat Clone)
