Network PCs in DOS

I would like to connect two PCs staight to each other using only boot diskettes and NETBEUI protocol or other? Currently I do laplink two computers together through parallel port, that's too slow. You can imagine.

You can try using two LAN adapters, and microsoft file and printer sharing client for DOS on boot disks, but you better need to make the client "model" on the harddisk first and have it copied to the boot disk. Mind the LAN adapter type. You can obtain the client from netsetup package on microsoft client suite (NT server, WFW 3.11).
