Network Places = Shared folders no longer in use -How to get rid of

Hi,

I was using a BartPE XP Bootable disk to retrieve critical data files I needed after system on affected computer was no longer bootable. I was able to network the affected computer using BARTPE networking. To access the disk and share between the good system and the bad, I had to use command line networking to establish connection. “net share” on the bad computer with BartPE and “net use” on the good computer.

Now that I’m done, if I look at My Network places on my good computer, I see that every disk drive . . . . . on the bad computer is still listed as shared, though if I click on them nothing happens.

I have used the net use . . . . /delete command, etc. to no avail. Booted system – still there as I believe it remembers net use commands. Is that the issue? If so – How can I get rid of it?

How do I get rid of these? I did just “delete” one of the icons and it did go away. Is that the proper way?

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!
