Network printer

In my office there have about twenty network PC.They are using Win 95, Win 98, Win 2000 and Win ME. Pcs using Win 95, Win 98 and Win 2000 can communicate and sharing file or printer among of them but I failed to sharing file or printer with pcs using Win 2000. Network password is requested although there is no network password at Win 2000 pcs.However Win 2000 pc os are not having a problem to communicate with another OS. Please help me...

Win2K does not load NetBEUI by default. Add it and see if it solves your issue.

hmm

I was just sitting here and wondered why dont you make an entry for all printers in your DNS server if you have one. Or make the users use ip addreses for the printers..
like this: \\10.x.x.x
The best is of course the DNS.

It sounds like your network is a 'workgroup'. If this is true, then it is a permissions problem. Win2k will require a username and password. You will need to add each user to the win2k system which matches their logon name and password from each ofthe other computers. Once you have these users added to the win2k system, your problems will be corrected.
