We have a couple of Xerox printers networked with their own static IP addresses (one through a dedicated UNIX server). When we print numerous files from any machine (Win2000, Win NT4, Win98, Win95, etc.), it seems that only 11 files per server/sending computer spool (release?) to the printer(s) at any time In other words, if I send 100 files to the printer from my Win2000 system, the first 11 show up immediately in the printer’s queue, and the rest “hang” on my system – forwarding to the printer only 11 at a time (with about a 60 to 90 second lag between batches). This is a little annoying and really slows up our printing. What is the cause of this “11-at-a-time-per-server” issue? Is it a printer/spooling setting? Or a limitation of Windows printing?
