Network printer (WIN2K server)

We have a peer to peer network, one network printer and then another printer installed on one of the clients that’s used as network printer. The client is also running WIN2K. We had trouble to get everybody using the printer on the client, then I got the answer that I must create user accounts on the client for all the other users and give them permission to use the printer. Now that I have done that (created user accounts on the WIN2K client using their same user names as the logins to the network)none of them can use the normal Network printer anymore. You can still choose that printer as a printer but in the status section of the printer window, it’s coming up with nothing (usually printing or error etc.) and it just doesn’t print it.
Hope this is not too confusing. Please HELP!!
