Network printing Problems in XP Home .

By trinianouk ·
Win XP Home edition is only allowing me to print ONE COPY at a time across the network to my HP Deskjet 840C printer.

If the printer is connect directly to the computer( i.e. via the LPT port) I can print multiple copies at a time.

For some reason Word, Excel and other applications will not print more than 1 copy of a document at a time. The "No. of copies" option in the printing preferences is greyed out and set to 1.

HOW CAN I FIX THIS????? Its really frustrating.
Any ideas would be greatly Appreciated.

Make sure you installed the XP version of the driver, then download the latest drivers for that printer. and give it a try. I had one simular problem like this and it happened because I isntalled the w2k driver instead of the xp driver at the time, since no xp driver was out there yet. so then when it was I downloaded it and everything was fine.
