i am using a leased line connection …and through a d-link router my 3 servers r connected and while all r working fine suddenly i had seen that the from oracle server i cant ping to any other computer and vice versa i repaired the connection.. disable it .remove both end and put nothing works. .finally i had removed the utp cable and plug into the spare network card on it and change the settings to that card then the connections r found to be ok..then the next day i change back to the previous card it was working fine…why it happened so..

that the connection got lost due to the link going down and the system reset the connection to a one of the MS default settings which resulted in you using the wrong settings for the gateway, dns, and rest.
