network problem in win 98

by excel_gid . Updated 24 years, 7 months ago

I have made a workgroup of three computers in win 98 with wingate on a computer for connecting other two pcs to internet. The problem I am facing is that some of the websites when tried to connect replied with annoying messege of “this page cannot be displayed”. Such as when i connect to hotmail.com it is opened but when a user id and password is given to get signed, it responds with the same messege “this page cannot be displayed”. This happens on both pcs while almost all of other sites are opened properly. Besides all the pages are oepend properly on the pc connected to internet and have wingate installed on it.

The protocols installed are tcp/ip and netbeui with following ip addresses:

192.168.100.1 (main with wingate)
192.168.100.2 (sub)
192.168.100.3 (sub1)

The problem I come accross is with internet only and rest of things go properly.

Can anybody help me.
