Windows Vista Ultim informed me an update was available so I requested it…as always. Turned out to be SP1…Hooray!!!
My SP1 installed with only two (apparently) hitches.
My Video driver had to be re-installed (machine booted into a ghastly 800×600 and no AERO)..OK no problem.
Secondly, my previous network server shares are visible, however, I cannot access the files and folders (folders shown as ‘ghost” images with a large cross in bottom left of Icon). Clicking on a folder returns the error…file is currently not available for use on this computer…
I do have a sync’d folder which can be read and accessed. Other machines have access to these shares, so I can’t blame the server.
Can anybody help with this one. I do have a complete disk image…but I’d rather fix this than go backwards.
