Respected Helpers
First of all I really appriciate and thanks for your help in providing complete information in related to our Questions.
Here is my Question and i am providing you my requirement in detail. I want to setup small network which contains 1 Server, 10-20 Clients.
1)I want to configure this server for all clients
like Active Directory, dns, dhcp, wins, user policies, group policies, printer sharing, files sharing, and the most important internet connection sharing.
Now, My Question is how to setup this network in the most effective way and
Second, how to make internet connection sharing
Please provide my complete and step by step process for my queries.
I really thankful to you.
Hans

I'm assume you have all the hardware require for LAN
Refer to this link to AD setup

For DHCP refer to here http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_tutorials/w2kdhcpi.html
For the Internet sharing you can search using ICS or internet connection sharing keyword

Cause you have 10-20 client computer you dont need to think about the effective way.Just install a windows 2000 server and then you need only to install the Active directory by using the wizard or dcpromo.exe from commmand line dueing the installation of Active directory you will be asked to install a DNS.After all of this you can do the rest. But for connection sharing take into cinsideration that it won't work with DHCP.this means that you have to diable the DHCP to have the ICS working.Create a connection and the from the properties of it choose the connection shareing.ICS will automatically assign IP to all Clints and the server inthe range of 192.168.0.0/24 .the 192.168.0.1 will be for the server (the PC which the ICS have set on) .
Enjoy
