Network setup problem

I have a win 2000 cumputer and a win 98 computer and I am trying to share files and folders between these two machines. From the win 2000 machine, I can see and access my shares to the win 98 machine, however, when I go the the win 98 computer to access my shares from the win 2000 machine I am always being prompted for a password which tells me I have not set something up correctly because I have never setup any password.

Here is how I set up the two machines.

1. The two machines are set up in a workgroup called "workgroup".

2. The two machines are then added to the workgroup "workgroup" and given the following computer names. student1(for the win 2k machine) and computer1( for the win 98 machine).

3. TCP/IP protocol has been installed, file and printer sharing has been installed.

I appreciate any help that can be given.

You need to create a user account on the windows 2000 pc with the same username and password as the one you log on to the windows 98 machine with.
That should do the trick.
