I there any way or meethod i could use to get a list of users and the areas they access on the network and probably be able to export it to an access database format.
I need to be able to have an up todate knowledge of the share areas that users access .

In order to do what you ask, you woud have to set up auditing in Usermanager as well as on the shares you wish to track usuage on. After this is done, you can go into Event Viewer and save the securuty log as a comma delimited text file (go to the save as menu and select comma delem .txt from the drop box). After the log is saved in this manner it is a simple matter to import the file into access or excel as you wish.

beware however that there is a certain amount of overhead associated with extensive logging.

You have to enable file auditing the partitions have to NTFS though. Depending on the amount of share/files this log can grow very large and can impact system performance.

I do know of this already, but I suppose their is a utility that will be able to check shares or folders that groups/users access.
Has any one got a clue.
