We had to shut one of our servers down for a couple of hours – some of our users have shares mapped to that server. Now when they are in Excel, Word, etc – they have to wait 30 to 60 seconds for the open to give up searching for the unavailable share.
What is the registry setting that sets the ‘timeout’ for Windows Explorer when a Network Share is unavailable?
