Network Solutions Alternatives?

by admin . Updated 24 years, 9 months ago

I have some domains I’m responsible for that don’t really matter much (kinda obvious, eh?) and some that businesses actually depend heavily on. Especially for the business traffic I have remained with Network Solutions for registration and dabbled with a few others for the not-so-important stuff.

I really like having back-up DNS from some of these other companies and often, their prices are cheaper- up to 50% less.

What I am wondering is: How risky is this? If a budget domain company goes out of business, what are the repercussions? Which ones are unlikely to go bust? Is Network Solutions going to be the mainstay anyway in this era of intense registration competition?

Anyone else wonder about this, or have some good/bad experience they could lend?
