Currently I have the following:
Linksys BEFCMU10 Cable Modem connected to a D-Link DI-524 Wireless router with 4 computers hooked up to this router.
I needed to add more runs so I purchased a Linksys EZXS88W 8 Port Switch.
Here is my dilema.
How do I hook up this network switch? What cables go where and from what? Can I take the 4 current cables to the router and plug into the network switch.
After I do the hook-ups with cabeling, do I need to do anything in software set-up or will the whole think just plug in and work?
The documentation that came with the network switch is very confusing to me. It talks about Switch, Hub. and then uplink port and the port next to it being used or not being used.
