we’re running an nt file server, a nt workstation db server, win 95 on desktops and win 98 on laptops. the desktops and laptops for the most part have been running fine. recently we installed the mcafee anitvirus defense suite and now i’ve got at least two desktops that give “there have been more than 10 seconds between network ticks” error which is essence locks up the machines. sometimes we can ctrl/alt/del our way to normalcy, but it takes minutes for things to react. other times we haveto reboot and go through the process of scanning upon startup. anyone have any suggestions?
