Hello All,

I am looking to get some tools to monitor the servers on the network, we need to no when the server is not avilable i.e ping times out. I then want to get a email to tell me about this.

At the min i am just using FREEPING, but if anyone has used tools like this place let me know.

If your looking for something thats free this is your best bet.

this can monitor pretrty much any of the critial systems.

I dont need anything as complex as that, all i need is something that will check my servers and if there is a problem email me, say if the server is not ping-able for 5 to 10 mins that i get a email says so, the reason i need something like this is because i dont have the time to manual check the servers.

Does pretty much what you need and abit more. He says its great but i’ve never tried it. Might be worth a shot.
