Network WinXp and Win98

How do I network Win98 and WinXP so that they can talk to each other in order to transfer files. I want to use only a crossover cable, becuase I am only connecting the two computers together, and no others. Also, I DO NOT need an internet connection here. Just the ability to transfer files from my XP to my 98. Does anyone have a really simple step-by-step on how to do this? Please help! I’m running out of disk space.
