Network with USB Cable

By pvh ·
Can 2 or more computers establish a reliable network via USB connection? An article would be helpful. I would try it if not for possible short circuit.

You can set up a limited function USB network using a USB data transfer cable.
DO NOT use a standard USB cable or hub!!!

This is similar to the old serial or parallel link cables that were used to sync files between a desktop and a laptop.

It will be slower than a regular network, but will allow you to share files between the 2 PCs.

I do not know if you can share other resources such as printers and internet connections via any data transfer cable.
