Networkable Hard Drive (NAS) Suggestions?

I have a client that wants me to recommend a NAS solution for his office that's running 5 laptops, 1 XP home, 1 Vista (version ?), and 3 Win7.

Anyone have any experience with known issues with any particular makes/models?

Would like it to be web based user friendly for him (intermediate user) in case I am out of town during a service call.

How much space do they need?

Have you thought about just connecting an eSATA drive to one of them and just sharing the drive?

You could probably pick up a 1.5 or 2 TB external SATA drive fairly cheap....put an eSATA card in one of the Windows 7 machines that will always be on.....not very "professional" but if they're just looking to share a drive & a bunch of files amongst themselves....that'd be pretty cost effective.

If the computer was always on....you could remote into it from out of town if you were away.

Just a thought....I haven't much experience with NAS.

I have used Drobo units for alot of small offices, they work great, there very easy to use.
take a look at them at www.drobo.com
sounds like you may want to look at the Drobo S or FS models
they can take any size drive, mix and match, hot swapping etc,
