Networking Components on OS system Disks

I have found it is not uncommon to be prompted for the system disk, epxecially in Win98, when configuring a PC for the network. I was just wondering if there are any resources or compilation type CDs out there that would have all the networking component software on them for various windows operating systems just in case the original system disks are not available?
