Netzero and AIM

Hello
Im running windows xp pro on a p3 800 mhz with 512mb of sd ram.

I recently switched isps from aol to netzero.
When I used aol aim worked fine.
BUT when i switched to netzero i get an error message from windows that aim has encountered an error and needs to close.
I have tried so far:
Reinstallin/uninstallin aim and netzero
reporting the bug to aim
reporting the bug to netzero
this has been a hassle for a month now, and i have not recieved any response from either of the companies.
I am aware of the fact that screenames created under the aol account will be suspended upon account termination, but this is irrevelant due to the fact that no matter whose screename i attempt to use i can not sign on.

any suggestions will be GREATLY appreciated!
