I just put together a new pc with Asus board A7V8X-MX SE and AMD Athlon XP 2000+ and 512 DDR2100 ram. Installed windows xp home no problem. This is the problem… Boot pc when cold and power will stop for a second and start again completing the boot sequence and arriving in windows with no problems. What would be causing it to power up for a second and stop and then power up full. It does not do this if it is warm.
