I’m building a new machine w/XP Pro x64. New MB, processor, ram, SATA2 hdd, os…. but I want to use my old SATA1 hdd as well. This old drive was the primary hdd w/XP pro 32bit & all data files.
Question is configuration; Build and install all new first (getting all running & updated) then adding second HDD? OR starting w/both HDDs? Not sure how that will work out. Will the XP32 configure first & then new XP64 on new drive in dual-boot arrangement?
I dont want to screw-up a clean 64bit install, but would like to keep my old OS & data if possible. Instead of dual-boot I’m looking at a virtual solution possibly.
