What famous computer was Douglas Adams the first Briton to own?

I didn't have to ask

I used to read his occasional columns in MacWorld magazine.

I still remember his article on SCSI conflicts - at the time the Mac had a SCSI external port and all kinds of peripherals could be attached - HDs, scanners etc. It was hilarious, he had one of those situations where it should have worked but didn't.

And I didn't know that Jay loved me so much to consider me more than one person. So does that mean that Jay is calling me Fat?

And Jay I didn't have to look I knew already as it had to be a Mac after all this is DA we are talking about.

Col 0:-)

I'd never call you fat...

by Jay Garmon Contributor In reply to Five least, not unless we're comparing head sizes. And yes, I concede this one was a gimme for the Brits who knew DA well, but us colonists were not so consistently exposed to his wit and wisdom. More's the pity.

May the Plague Dogs get you while you are pushing The Girl on a Swing.

Just a couple of DA's lesser known books that I had to read before I was allowed out of school here. Funnily enough one of the dogs ate my copy of the Plague Dogs. Must have been something on the book that the Great Dane liked or maybe I should have give him more attention instead of rereading the book.

I thought Plague of Dogs and The Girl on a Swing were written by RICHARD Adams, not DOUGLAS Adams.

I'm a long-time Adams freak. Used to watch the old BBC series, listened to the radio shows, everything. He's always been one of my favorite authors.

Really, five?

Must be more than myself and four others. And thanks to your newsletter and a handy link to your blog, I've already read it. Fantastic! Links sent to other Adams fans, so maybe you'll catch some more traffic.
