If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
New Folder command missing in Win XP
However, when I go to my registry and try to edit the key I'm directed to, there isn't anything there. I go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers but there is no \New. I don't edit the registry much, so I'm not familiar with it. Can I just create that folder and enter the value I need? I do have the copy of the registry from a few weeks ago that would most likely have the proper value, but that reintroduces the problem I had with the registry then.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I can't kill this computer, at least not during work hours..
