New ISDN ip settings conflict with curre

by davem346112 . Updated 25 years, 2 months ago

We have a very small (nonprofit org.) NT server. All workstations using win95 or win98 as clients. We are using one of the workstations running Win95 as a “proxy” for others to share her internet access via dial-up connection; each other workstation hastheir browser set to use a proxy server/gateway. Today we tried to install an ISDN router on the system (we have and ISDN line), and entered IP addresses into browsers, and network neighborhood, and the whole network came to a halt, until we “undid” theIP readdressing and physically removed the router link from the ehternet hub.
What issues do I need to look at for this situation?
Any help is GREATLY appreciated. We are small, nonprofit org. and don’t have hight end tech support department.

Thanks in advance.
Dave
