New kid in town

By notize ·
I don't know if you guys have seen the new SendGenie application that sends files to personal contacts with a simple drag and drop. I find the service brilliant in its simplicity. For the curious take a look at their page (sendgenie.com)

But my question comes from a different angle:

In a market where is so much competition what does a new tool or service need to make it against the more established services? There are many tools out there used to send large files, share files, hosts files, not all are simple and most of them are web-based.

Is it the big budgets, the marketing, the user experience, their acceptance, global adoption, perseverance, what does it take these days to come from the bottom and make it all the way up with a new tool or service?
