New NT install gives BSOD

by labrat . Updated 24 years, 8 months ago

Customer has a Compaq and hard drive seems to have crashed. I replaced the WD 10gig HD with a WD 20gig HD (both IDE). New install of NT4 Server crashes during final stages of install. At “Set Time/Date” Same place each time. Gives BSOD with the following info

0x00090028, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x8012866e
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL***Address 8012866e has base at 80100000 ntoskrnl.exe
***GenuineIntel 6.7.3***irql:1f***SYSVER 0xf0000565

I have done hundreds of install/configs and have never seen a BSOD during install. What can this be? The only change to a formerly working system was the hard drive.
