A friend of mine has the P4 Intel D850GB motherboard, socket 423, with an Intel 1.7GHz processor, socket 423, that runs slower than my P3 450MHz. He?s done everything Intel said to and it still runs bad. They now say it?s a problem caused by one of his components.
I plan to build my own P4 system with the parts listed below and want to ensure that I don?t have similar problems after spending the kind of money that will be required.
I would appreciate any comments from people with the same motherboard, processor combination that I plan to use or anyone that notices any problems on the horizon for this system. Are the monitor and speakers up to the standards of the rest of the system?
