I have an old Gigabyte GA-7X (rev.1.01) Motherboard with an 800 mhz AMD Duron 200 fsb. I recently bought an AMD Athlon 2100+ (palomino) 266 fsb. After installing the new (used) processor the comp. wouldn’t boot. I thought well maybee my BIOS is to old so I installed the old processor again, and it still wouldn’t boot. The computer starts up, but doesn’t boot, the monitor stays in standby. And yes I did change the fsb via the motherboard. And the option of a cmos jumper was not added to this motherboard. Please help.
