New Profile/UAC Issue in Vista

By davestewart.sr ·
I created a new profile (as an administrator) to replace a corrupt profile - in Vista. Everything works great until I turn UAC back on. Then the new profile can't use IE without right-clicking Run as Admin. How can I change this profile or permissions to resolve this? Thanks, dave.

UAC

Do you think you could just leave UAC off? Or do you need to have it on?
You might could check the properties on the IE shortcut (right-click the IE icon) and see if a user has to have Admin privileges to run IE. That kind of situation has happened before, but with a different program.

If it were my pc I may leave UAC off but its not and it was on when I got it. If that's the only fix I may do that but another guy told me I could give that id perm admin rights to everything so I'm going to try that first. Thanks for your help and for taking the time!! dave
