new sata drive will not boot

old drive took surge hit.
new sata drive starts to boot, but then get error message no hard drive installed.
has someone solved this?

You need to have the SATA drivers for this..

SATA drivers comes with your motherboard driver disk. Or go to the website of the make of your Computer or motherboard.
When you have this on a floppy disk then you will be able to load on your Windows disk.
