New site, and wiring costs.

We are in the process of building a new site. I have gathered all quotes necessary for each part of my build out. I have presented these to CFO and CEO. Now Im getting questioned about the wiring. My bids range from 28k to 47k.

I have worked with several of the companies bidding, and know that they are accurate and fair, but Im being asked “why should this cost so much” and “why was this not covered by the GC” etc. Lastly, I presented quotes for 4 cabinets and because of the mood, was shot down quickly.

Anyone got any good ammo for this debate? Horror stories about bad premises wiring? Good cost justification?
