Hello,
Ok, I have a strange one on my hands. Build a computer from a sealed XP Home image. Customer picked it up, no issues. Customer brings it back a few days later…no A: drive.
Open case, see tech didn’t connect power to FDD…easy enough fix. Plug it in, check bios, FDD is enabled. System will boot from FDD. BUT, FDD is missing from Windows. It’s not in the Dev. Mgr. and no A: drive in My Computer.
Disconnected internal media card reader, rebooted…A: shows up. Problem is, the card reader is NOT using A: Why would the card reader prevent the A: drive from being detected by windows?
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Brian
