News: Win XP Mode no longer requires VT technology to run..

By cmatthews ·
For almost half of the latest buyers of new Windows 7 systems, the promise of XP mode was expected. But when users tried to use it, the message saying the "CPU was not VT compatible" was a hard pill to swallow.

As a tech, I've had to install V-box several times just to make the users happy.

Today, Microsoft has changed the tune, and due to the outcry (partially against Intel), they will run XP mode even if the processor is not VT compatible. Good news indeed!

I'm sure some are still against Win-7, but my hope is that it doesn't bring any security holes with it...
