No Access for C$

By mcarrillo ·
Mistakenly one of the administrators restricted access to the Everyone Group account on the C$ and all subdirectories under and now no one "EVEN" administrator account can access the c drive or user manager to change security.

Please help do you know how to restore some basic security to atleast gain control back of the server.

No Access for C$

if you give 'No Access' to 'everyone' group on the C drive(system drive), you cann't login locally. map your C drive from remote machine using the domain admin account and change required permissions.

Take Ownership

Have you tried taking ownership of the drive. If I can remember correctly, the administrator can take ownership of any object under WinNT, regardless of the permissions.
