No ad's or pictures

This just happen today when I view any web site they have pictures posted on them any site now I can't seen to see those pictures I only see text and stuff what happen and how to fix it.

If i click on the box where there has to be a picture I push show picture then it opens but I can't be doing that to every site I go to.

This sounds simply but I can not figure it out and why it happen.

I'm using explorer 6 at all times under windows 98 se and have all the windows update files for security so I just its my reg but which one.

I also done fix explorer and rebooted and still same thing happen no pictures loads up on sites any site.

And my norton internet security has block ad's its uncheck and when its check I know for sure all ad's on any site does not appear but its uncheck, Zone alarm does not block ad's or picture I have the firewall rule set right and blackice is the same does not block ad's ect.

I also ran the scandisk with standard
no log file, cross link files-delete, lost file frag-free, all 3 items for check files for are check, and host drive and msdos check and no errors. Also scan disk under dos no errors

Take a look under Tools, Internet Options, Advanced and make sure "show pictures" is checked in the Multimedia section.

After checking the show pictures option on the Advanced tab, check the Security tab and push the Custom Level button. There may be something disabled in there that allows or disallows pictures (ActiveX?). Make only one change, close IE, re-open IE and see if problem is fixed. If it isn't, re-enable last change and disable something else, close IE, and so on and so on until you find the setting that may be causing this. Hope this helps. Please post a comment telling us what the culprit was--I am also wondering if all of the security programs you have installed may have something to do with it when installed in combination with each other, but if they've worked for some time, I would then suspect an update of IE or Windows security patch. They sometimes change security settings when done.

Have you checked your Internet Options/ Advanced tap and make sure the SHOW PICTURES is checked?
