no boot- acc. pulled power out of floppy

By sab_arturo ·
Like the title says, i've got a gigabyte GA7va mobo with some athlon and a geforce2 mx 400 in it. i was in dos, just after formatting a drive (was complete, just sitting at dos prompt) when i accidentally knocked out the power to the floppy drive. Now it won't boot and gives me long beeps (at least 10 of them). no display, nothing; all fans start. A little orange ram led goes on (if it helps) have damaged the motherboard? the ram?

i will try exchanging power supplies and ram tonight. any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Martin

The error code beeps that you hear are generally ram errors. Try cleaning the connectors on the ram and then reseating. You may have bad ram modules that will need to be replaced.

Good luck,
