No default network logon showing up...

By bwdman ·
This is a Gateway p3 system, running the Gateway OEM version of Win98SE. The primary network logon is set properly to Client for MS Networks, nevertheless it opens to standard Window, no logon, no network connections. I can select Start, Log off, and then I am allowed to log on to the NT4 domain, when all systems work properly, but otherwise the option to log in is not presented. Any ideas?

You asked if anyone had any ideas. My idea - why don't you post this on the Technical Q&A section of this site? That is why it is there, after all. This section is for discussion. We can discuss weird problems with network logins, or people trying to get technical answers without giving up tech points, here, but that would hardly help you.

You are quite right, and I regret the offense. You seem to know your way around this site. Having apologized and read the FAQ's, maybe now you will be kind and help me with ideas on how to drop this thread.

Try This

Run the registry editor , go to Hkey_local_machine / network /logon
Change the value of the LMLogon to 01 instead of 00 for the first value .
Restart the system and you should see your login
