No Display Adapter

I removed my Display Adapter in my Device Manager by accident,now I cant install my video card software.It tells me to install distk labled mach64windows9xdriver.Anyone help a person who built his 1000mhz and has nothing but problems?

Your ATI video card should come with a CD or diskette which contains the drivers the OS is looking for. The drivers are installed either by running the setup program or by pointing to the correct folder on disk. If you don't have the disk, try downloading from here:

http://support.atitech.ca/products/pc/graphics/index.html

Tried your suggestion,didnt work.I have the cd but It wont allow me to browse it.I have win98.

You should be able to find your driver at the following site...

I show errors,source file c\win98\ati3dcif.dll destination file c:\windows\system\ati3dcif.dll error#15

A little hint that may help.Windows 9x could mean 95 or 98.Make sure the driver you have is the correct driver for the relevant version of Windows.I once came across a similar problem so I removed all installed drivers, removed the graphic card,booted the PC but only for a few seconds,switched the PC off again,re-inserted the graphic card which then sent Windows looking for "New Hardware installed" The driver could then be
installed without further errors.

look on the cd to see if there is a setup file or something. Sometimes the driver files are compressed and extracted during software installation. If it was working the drivers should be in c:/windows/system, but this is not always the case.
